Sanlam Pan Africa (SPA) is part of the Sanlam Emerging Markets cluster. It focuses exclusively on the Group’s 32 African countries and around 90 businesses outside South Africa, with a vision of being the leading diversified pan-African financial services player. It is responsible for Sanlam’s financial business services (life insurance, general insurance, banking, retail credit, health, bancassurance, and asset management) in these African markets with the aim of ensuring sustainable delivery and growth across the various businesses that make up this cluster. SPA consists of two lines of business, SPA Life Insurance (including asset management and retail credit) and SPA General Insurance (including health, reinsurance, assistance, and third-party assistance),  which consist of various country business entities. These businesses operate under or in association with the Sanlam and SAHAM Assurance brands.
